'Health is the True Wealth'

Nutrition For Healthy Futures

‘One man’s meat is another man’s poison’. Each of us needs to discover which foods and eating habits are best suited for us, as unique individuals. This nine-week course covers nutrition basics, and helps each student create their own personalised, health-supportive eating plan.  Key areas of common concern are also explored: cravings, overweight, diabetes, digestive problems, intolerances, low energy, among others. Comprehensive course notes are provided.

The final evening of the course finds us in the kitchen with Maggie Lynch, director of The Soul Food Company and chief cooking tutor at IINH. Maggie will demonstrate a range of delicious foods and dishes – some gluten-free – to complement what we have learned during the course. Handouts include full recipes, a Best Buy list and Healing Benefits of Whole Foods.  We finish up enjoying a plateful of wonderful foods, and everyone gets a takehome of samples!
